Lawful Killing is a 90-minute documentary based on the police shooting which lead to the death of a local Tottenham man Mark Duggan back in August 2011.

The incident triggered another one of Britain’s the worst riots to date, with the impact of the event extending far beyond the Duggan family and Tottenham to it spreading out across the country.

This dramatic documentary recounts details surrounding the death of Mark Duggan,  using dramatic reconstructions a combination of testimony from a number of key participants, evidential footage, verbatim Inquest transcripts, expert interviews and witness.

Despite a Coroner’s Inquest and a lengthy IPCC Investigation significant elements of what actually happened that fatal night still remain unclear. The film aims to give the audience to make up their own minds about what really happened that night.
