legendary East London Grime MC Kano Release “Made in the Manor” Documentary
Legendary East London Grime MC Kano has released his forefronted documentary on the east London badlands that gave birth to grime, bring us knowledge of the genre’s roots.
Titled “Made In The Manor” (which is how old school Londoners would say “hood”) and produced by The Guardian, in it we see Kano return to the Newham streets that birthed his career as a grime MC, ten years on from his debut album. We see him visit his childhood home, his cousin’s barbershop and even catch a glimpse of behind-the-scenes footage of MCs in the studio.
